The School of Biomedical Engineering Advisory Board was formed to enhance the academic and research efforts of the school and the student experience by (1) advising the school on program and curriculum matters to stay current with industry advancements; (2) fostering communication and opportunities for interaction between students, faculty, and industry (e.g. internships, projects, research); (3) increasing hands-on experiences for students to enable them to make more informed decisions and have increased post-graduate opportunities; and (4) advocating for the SBME in research, industry, and the community to foster image and increase opportunities.
