\"Defcon\"In June 2015, we collaborated with Delphine Farmer in Chemistry and Sonia Kreidenweis and Paul DeMott Atmospheric Sciences to study with the emissions and atmospheric evolution of fine particles or aerosols arising from diesel engines, biomass combustors and cookstoves. We used\u00a0a broad suite\u00a0of instruments to measure the size, mass, composition and properties of aerosols; these measurements will allow us to understand the impact of aerosols on air quality, climate and public health. The collage above captures some of the equipment we used and shows the researchers who made this study possible.
