Yates Chair Professor of Mathematics and a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Colorado State University (CSU). She received her Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1997, and was an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before joining the faculty at CSU in 2000. She held the 3-year position of Professor Laureate in the College of Natural Sciences at CSU from 2020 through 2022.<\/p><p>Her research encompasses development of new hardware, reconstruction algorithms, and clinical applications for electrical impedance tomography (EIT) and ultrasound computed tomography (USCT). Supported by the NIH, her work involves close collaborations with mathematicians, engineers, and physicians in the U.S. and abroad. During his doctorate, he co-developed the first low-frequency ultrasound tomography (LUFT) system for lung imaging and advanced the use of electrical impedance tomography (EIT) in clinical studies with collaborators at Children\u2019s Hospital Colorado. <\/span><\/p><p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Building on more than eight years of experience across research and medical device development, Andre has also led industry efforts to design next-generation organ-on-a-chip platforms, contributing multiple patents and driving innovations in fluidics, additive manufacturing, and systems engineering. <\/span><\/p><p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Now a Postdoctoral Fellow at CSU, his work continues to bridge clinical needs and laboratory innovation, with the goal of delivering patient-centered diagnostic technologies that directly improve healthcare outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div He came out to CSU to pursue his PhD in Biomedical Engineering, with a focus on algorithms and machine learning for medical imaging. <\/span><\/p><p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Kyler has been working primarily on simulating 3D EIT data to use as for machine learning datasets and other methods relying on an anatomically correct prior. student minoring in bioinformatics!<\/p><p>My work at the lab has primarily encompassed the creation of an anatomical atlas from CT data, which we hope will improve the resolution of the EIT system.<\/p><p>I&#8217;m really interested in the process of using electrical data to learn more about the human body, and I also work with electroencephalography (EEG) at another lab on
