Conrad.<\/b> <\/strong>He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Systems Engineering at Colorado State University. His academic background includes dual B.S. degrees in Optical Engineering and Psychology from the University of Arizona, an M.S. in Environmental Technology Management from Arizona State University, and a Ph.D. in Resource and Environmental Management from Simon Fraser University, Canada. He has led innovative research in the AI-augmented decision making, water\u2011energy nexus, human\u2011environment systems modeling, and sustainable urban infrastructure. Before CSU, Dr. Conrad chaired the Future Waters Research Excellence Cluster at the University of British Columbia and served as Associate Director of Simon Fraser University\u2019s Pacific Water Research Centre. His work spans over 25 years to inform policy, resilience, and decision\u2011making in water and energy management and on socio\u2011technical systems. His research spans infrastructure resilience, human-AI teaming, systems theory, and the epistemology of modeling in engineering. He studies how systems can be designed and managed to support robust decision-making under uncertainty, particularly in complex socio-technical contexts. He is a Ph.D. student in Systems Engineering and a Graduate Research Assistant in the Blue-Green Decisions Lab. His research focuses on electric vehicle (EV) disengagement, studying users who discontinue or underutilize EVs and how charging infrastructure and behavioral factors impact long-term EV adoption. His goal is to support a lasting and equitable transition to sustainable transportation. Poteet is currently a Ph.D. student in the Systems Engineering Program at Colorado State University. Being born and raised in Colorado, Dixie was instilled with a respect for water\u2019s vast and powerful impacts early on. Dixie first came to CSU in 2017 thanks to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.engr.colostate.edu\/walter-scott-jr-gift\/walter-scott-jr-undergraduate-scholarship\/\">Walter<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.engr.colostate.edu\/walter-scott-jr-gift\/walter-scott-jr-undergraduate-scholarship\/\"> Scott, Jr. Scott Scholars Program<\/a> and went on to complete her B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering with a focus on Water Resources. She is dedicated to investigating effective, stakeholder-based solutions and strategies to the wicked problems surrounding water allocation. He joined the Blue-Green Decisions Lab as a Ph.D. student with a focus on applications of digital twins for integrating energy data into the flexible operation of desalination plants. In this research, he is working with the National Alliance for Water Innovation to develop a digital twin model of a desalination facility to explore the technical and economic limitations of flexible operations. She is now an M.S. student in the Bluegreen Decisions Lab focusing on circular economics for the built environment. She is working on a project looking at the recovery rates for recycling building materials to incorporate into an economic measure of building circularity. This would allow building developers to price for circularity in the initial building planning, supporting reuse and recycling of materials at the end of the building\u2019s life.
