Forwarding Email from other CSU accounts to your Google Apps for CSU account

Note: Only Undergraduates are provided a Google Apps for CSU account by default. If faculty, staff, or graduate students wish to use a Google Apps for CSU account, create one here.

Forward your central Exchange email

Note: CSU is in the process of migrating from central Exchange to Office 365. You may have either a central Exchange account, an Office 365 account, or both.

  1. Log in to eid.colostate.edu
  2. Click on “Change E-mail Address ”
  3. Login with your eName and ePassword
  4. If the option is available, select "I will only use central Exchange for calendaring".
If the option is not available, see Forward E-mail Using an Outlook Rule, and skip the rest of this section.
  5. Enter in your Google Apps for CSU e-mail address (eName@rams.colostate.edu), and click Submit.

This will make your First.Last@colostate.edu address forward to your Google Apps for CSU account. We recommend that you only give out your First.Last@colostate.edu as your email address and not your eName@rams.colostate.edu.

Forward your CSU Office 365 email

Note: CSU is in the process of migrating from central Exchange to Office 365. You may have either a central Exchange account, an Office 365 account, or both.

  1. Follow the instructions for Setting up Forwarding using Office 365. (You will use eName@engr.colostate.edu as the email address to forward to.)

This will make your First.Last@colostate.edu address forward to your Engineering account. We recommend that you only give out your First.Last@colostate.edu as your email address and not your eName@engr.colostate.edu.

Forward your Engineering email

  1. Log in to the Engineering account management tool using your Engineering user name and password.
  2. Select the Email Settings/Disk Usage tab.
  3. Select Follow this link to edit your email preferences.
  4. Select Enable/Disable Email forwarding.
  5. Enter the email address you wish to forward your Engineering email to (in this case, eName@rams.colostate.edu) and click Submit.

Please note that if you set your forwarding address in this tool (meaning you forward your email to another account), you will no longer be able to set up an vacation auto-reply and create filters using this tool. If you have any questions, please contact ENS.
