Robert I. Johnson

Teaching Assistant Professor, Civil and Environmental Engineering

Robert I. JohnsonDr. Robert Johnson’s primary focus is teaching undergraduate students. He teaches and has taught courses in Engineering Mechanics Statics, Mechanics of Solids, Design of Steel Structures, Design of Concrete Structures, and Structural Analysis. Prior to joining the faculty at CSU, Dr. Johnson was a consulting structural engineer. In his time at his own firm, Johnson Wilbur Adams, Dr. Johnson was in responsible charge of over 11,000 projects in the US and overseas. Significant structures designed by Dr. Johnson include the Des Plaines, Illinois Community Center, The Centre of Elgin as well as about 30 other community centers in the US. Dr. Johnson has also been responsible for the design of structural steel connections for buildings in 45 states.
