Responsibilities:
Founded and provide leadership, management and administration to the Integrated Decision Support (IDS) group, a multidisciplinary research group that is part of The Water Center at Colorado State University. The IDS group is comprised of a full time assistant director, a technical writer and six to ten graduate students. Depending on the project workload we have had as many as three full time research associates, post docs as well as hosted faculty on sabbaticals. Total project funding that IDS has participated in exceeds $3.5 million.

Teaching:
I have team taught a two semester freshmen introduction to engineering course for civil engineering. I also teach a graduate level course in applying GIS and GPS to engineering.

Extension:
Extension water resources specialist. In this role I have developed computer tools for decision support to deal with augmentation plans for several water organizations in the South Platte River Basin. In the Arkansas River basin I am working with salinity issues and the monitoring and modeling of salinity at the field scale. I also provide GIS support to the Big Thompson Watershed Forum, a group of watershed users.

Research:
Most of my research is conducted as part of the Integrated Decision Support Group.

Associate Director
Colorado Agricultural Experiment Station, Colorado State University
March 2000 to April 2004 (Interim - March 2000 - June 2002).

Responsibilities:
Review of all completion and progress reports for AES projects. Responsible for the development of the Colorado AES plan of work report to CSREES. Supervised the development of a web based accountability program. Responsible for the development of the Colorado AES Annual Report (2000 and 2001). Represent AES in a water rights litigation involving the transfer of water from the Arkansas River Basin. Coordinate a new set of special initiative grants (starting fall 2001) from the Colorado State Legislature on Invasive Plant Species. Visit and represent the Director's Office at field days and advisory committee meetings at several research centers. Represented AES at the Research Associate Deans' Meetings (2000-2001). Provide support to the Director as requested.
