Ellison Carter Receives Powe Award

Dr. Ellison Carter has been awarded a Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Award to provide seed money for research. These awards are intended to enrich the research and professional growth of young faculty and result in new funding opportunities. Dr. Carter is currently conducting a study to examine the impacts of air pollution from household use of solid fuels in rural regions of Beijing, China and with the Powe Award, Dr. Carter will be able to factor in the built environment to determine how it affects airflow between indoors and outdoors.
