The International Association of Hydrological Sciences awarded Dr. Bailey and Saman Tavakoli Kivi the 2018 IAHS Tison award for young hydrologists for their paper “Method for estimating available groundwater volume of small coral islands,” Hydrological Sciences Journal, 62:14, 2381-2392, DOI: 10.1080/02626667.2017.1382703â€
This award, established in 1982, aims to promote excellence in research by young hydrologists, and is granted for an outstanding paper published by IAHS in a period of two years previous to the deadline for nominations. The award consists of a citation in the name of L.J. Tison, a total monetary award of $1,000 and a free subscription to HSJ for one year. This award will be presented in a public ceremony in May at a conference in Geneva.
