CALL FOR PAPERS Scope of Conference The Conference objective is to provide a forum for presenting the state of the art with respect to mill tailings and mine waste, and to discuss current and future issues facing the mining and environmental communities. The program will include sessions by practitioners and recognized experts on the general themes of the Conference. The Conference also will include exhibits by vendors and consultants and short courses. The focus of the presentations include:
Conference Format Abstracts are solicited on the general themes of the Conference and related topics and the proceedings of the Conference will be available in electronic form. Authors of all papers included in the Proceedings will be allowed to make oral presentations at the Conference. The Conference will begin with short courses and an evening pre-registration reception on Sunday, October 2, 2016. Presentations will be given Monday-Wednesday, October 3-5. The Conference will adjourn on Wednesday, October 5, 2016. Preparation of Abstracts Prospective authors are requested to submit a short abstract (one page or less, double spaced) and include the title, author(s) and corresponding author’s affiliations, addresses and contact information. The deadline for submission is Friday, March 25, 2016. The abstracts will be used for planning purposes and undergo an acceptance review. Final papers will be limited to a maximum of 12 single spaced pages. Detailed guidelines and instructions for preparation of papers will be sent immediately upon acceptance of the abstract. The deadline for submission of final papers to be included in the proceedings will be Tuesday, May 31, 2016. All papers will be acceptance-reviewed by the organizing committee.
