Project 11:
What to Include in Your Report and Grading Policy

Weight distribution:

    10% Prelab
    40% Hardware circuits and demo
    40% Memo including the required technical items in memo
    10% Instructor discretion

This  Report should describe the problem being solved, in your own words.
Explain how this encryption scheme works. Describe the design while explaining  the figures and tables.
 

Here are the required items:  

• Problem description,   including   example input and output streams (different from that in the challenge). 5% 
• Figure 1. A Moore state graph (should not be handwritten)  5%;
• Figure 2. (has to be typed) (include following in multiple columns)
  
• A state transition table showing next state as a function of  inputs and present state (next state w.r.t. present state and input)  5%;
• Flip-flop inputs for the transition (Ja,Ka,Jb,Kb...etc w.r.t. present state and input)  5%;
• State output as a function of flip-flop outputs and input (output w.r.t. present state and input)  5%;
• Figure 5. K-maps for the flip-flop inputs. With each K-map, give the minimum SOP expression for the next-state flip-flop output (K-maps)  5%;
• Figure 6. A schematic diagram of the transmitter  5%;
• Figure 7. A output waveform diagram demonstrating correct operation for the example given in the challenge page   5%;

Demonstration of your hardware circuit during your group meeting:   40%
