Why You Are Doing This Project

With this project you are designing  a counter using flip-flops, and also exploring combinational circuit design using more complex blocks such as decoders, multiplexers and PLAs. You  will create a counter whose counting sequence is not the binary integer sequence.  As a part of creating a counter, you will use K-maps to create next-state next state logic for the D flip-flop, a very important logic device. It is hoped that you will apply your writing skills to producing a report with a truly professional tone.
