Thank you for visiting my web page

Ulises Martínez Contreras, M.S., I got my B.S. in industrial engineering in 1992 from the Durango Institute of Technology. In 1998 I got my M.S. in industrial engineering from the Juarez Institute of Technology. In the same year I won the third place at the national competition of industrial engineers in Mexico. I have presented papers at more than 10 conferences in Mexican congresses of industrial engineering. Some of the most important are: First National Congress of Industrial Engineering at Matamoros Institute of Technology, Third International Congress of Automated Manufacturing at Juárez Institute of Technology, Student Section of The Institute of Industrial Engineers at Sonora Institute of Technology, and Student Section of The Institute of Industrial Engineers at New Mexico State University. I have worked in the twin plants in Cd. Juárez as an industrial engineer and manufacturing engineer.

My special areas of interest are simulation of manufacturing systems and operations research. I have taught simulation and operation research at the Juárez Institute of Technology and the Monterrey Institute of Technology at Juárez since 1994. Currently I am enrolled in the Ph. D. program in industrial engineering at Colorado State University .

My research area is Manufacturing Systems and my current research is "Multi Criteria Analysis to Solve the Line Balancing Problem Using Genetic Algorithms".
