Welcome to my webpage! I've designed this to give you a brief introduction of myself and to my work and future goals. Here, you will find summary statements about my teaching, research, and service philosophies and interests, and then links to more in-depth information on each. My goal is to provide an overview of my perspective here and demonstrate how this perspective is realized with past accomplishments and future plans in subsequent pages.
I am the first graduate to complete the PhD program in Engineering Education at Virginia Tech, which I finished on February 17th, 2011. I'm originally from upstate New York, where I earned my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and spent a few years working in the automotive industry. I found that my true passions lie in academia, and have been fortunate enough to find a Post-Doctoral Fellowship where I can apply these interests. I am now seeking permanent career opportunities where I can teach, conduct research, and engage in service in alignment with the philosophies described below.
