October 15 , 2013. CSU awarded $1.9 Million from Environmental Defense Fund to lead a study aimed at Quantifying Fugitive Methane Emissions from the Natural Gas Gathering and Processing Sector.

October 15 , 2012 . Research grant entitled "Achieving Tier 4 Emissions and Efficiency in Biomass Cookstoves" awarded from DOE in response to the FOA Technology Research, Development and Tools for Clean Biomass Cookstoves (DOE FOA-0000709).

January 13, 2010. Department of Energy announces $49 million award to the National Alliance for Advanced Biofuels and Bio-products for the creation of an algae biofuel consortium. Marchese research group to focus on characterization of the properties of algae-derived fuels.
