  • the maximum radius of each cam
  • s, v, a, j diagrams for roller and flat-faced follower motion over a complete cycle. For the s diagram, overlay the calculated and measured curves on the same plot for comparison. Describe the comparison and explain any discrepancies.
  • plots of the calculated cam surface and cutter paths for the roller and flat-faced followers (two plots, one for each follower, with cam surface and cutter paths overlaid). The plots should be drawn to scale (i.e., not distorted), and be actual size if possible.
• Complete Analysis [70 points]
  • documentation of all analyses performed to achieve the results (e.g., a complete, well labeled/annotated MathCAD printout). Show all of the work required to design and manufacture the cams (e.g., polynomial coefficient derivation, cam sizing procedure and calculations, cutter path calculations).
