CART MACHINE STARTUP INSTRUCTIONS:

Check that the RS-232 serial cable is connected from the CPU to the controller. Power and resolver leads from controller to servo-motor. Sensor cables from data aquisition box to sensors. - The cable with the black tape goes to the top sesnor. - These are bundled with the trigger cable. Trigger cable from data aquisition to trigger. - This is bundled with the sensor cables.

Wiring Diagram. Make sure the power is OFF when connecting components!

Pacific Scientific SC750 series.

Give the controller power by releasing the emergency stop. Open the program SERVO STARTUP. Check to make sure the RPM knob is off and the status switch disabled. Press <Ctrl + R> to download the program.

Note - when testing linkage kinematics only (e.g., in Lab 2), and not measuring spring-mass-damper response, disconnect the springs and replace them with spacers to rigidly attach the sensors to the linkage output links.
