    Through Simulation

 

This model simulates a bacterial population, and demonstrates several key concepts. The model is capable of recreating exponential growth, carrying capacity, natural selection and mutation, and finally antibiotic response and resistance. By manipulating the various parameters available, these situations can be created and observed. Be sure to look through the write up for suggestions and comparisons with experimentally obtained data!
