Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend?

The event is free and open to the public, and high school sophomores, juniors and seniors and their families are encouraged to attend. Parents and siblings of an interested student are welcome to attend. Groups are welcome.

Which registration form should I complete?

Complete the Individual Registration Form if you are attending the Engineering Exploration Day with your family. Complete the Group Registration Form if you are a leader bringing members of a community or school group; members do not need to register separately.

Where should I park?

Parking will be free on the day of the event. For questions regarding Colorado State University parking regulations or maps, please see the CSU Parking Services webpage or call (970) 491-7041.

Will refreshments be provided?

A free continental breakfast will be provided between 8:00 - 10:00 am in the Lory Student Center Main Ballroom. Lunch is scheduled between 12:00 - 1:30 pm, and will be on your own.

Need lunch ideas? The Lory Student Center Food Court has plenty of great choices. Curious about the campus dining halls? Purchase a visitors ticket to choose from a variety of options available to our students, faculty and staff every day! There are also dozens of amazing restaurants near campus that are sure to please.

Do I need to register for presentations and/or demonstrations before the event?

No. We do not require registration for the presentations and demonstrations that occur during the Exploration Day. Most presentations and demonstrations are offered during multiple sessions, so you can pick and choose what you want to attend.

What tours are available?

Tours of the Engineering Building and Academic Village will be given. Tour registration will take place on Saturday, October 8th between 8:00 - 9:00 am at the Lory Student Center Registration Booth.
