CSU research grants hit a record $302 million in fiscal year 2008, placing CSU among the top few institutions in the U.S. for universities without a medical school. Research expenditures in the College of Engineering have topped $55 million, with faculty averaging $557,283 each in fiscal year 2008. The College of Engineering strives to attract faculty who excel at delivering innovative academic and research programs.

Engineering offers pre- & post-award support

Because the college’s research activities are so robust, the Engineering Business Office provides our faculty with pre-award and post-award support, assists with equipment purchases, start-up accounts, and travel.

We offer patent, licensing, & startup support

The associate dean for research and economic development and others at the University level work closely with faculty and research groups on patents, technology transfer, and start-up companies.

Engineering facilities are numerous & growing

The College of Engineering’s home is the engineering building on the main campus, but we have a variety of buildings at the Foothills campus, and elsewhere on campus and in Fort Collins. Facilities are a top priority for the college, with an additional engineering building in the architectural planning phase. This new facility will include a number of interdisciplinary research pods, teaching space, and faculty and graduate student offices.
