Dr. Chong received his B.E. from the University of Adelaide, South Australia, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Princeton University where he held an IBM Graduate Fellowship. Professor Chong’s research interests are primarily in the areas of control, optimization, and modeling, with applications to computer/communication networks and wireless systems. He received a National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) Award in 1995 and is coauthor of a best-selling book, An Introduction to Optimization, Third Edition, Wiley-Interscience, 2008.
