Interdisciplinary Research

cody obrl

Biomedical engineering research at CSU is aimed at developing new technologies to advance health care, from diagnosis to treatment. Faculty members of four colleges collaborate on the cutting edge of biomedical research to ultimately help people and animals. Examples of areas of research strength include:

  • Regenerative and Rehabilitative Medicine
  • Imaging and diagnostics
  • Medical devices and therapeutics

Within these areas and others, research ranges from therapies and imaging modalities for fighting cancer, to improving equipment used in open heart surgery. Our many research labs, including the world renowned Veterinary Hospital and cancer research center, offer hands-on experience for undergraduate and graduate students to work alongside leading researchers in the field.
