Internship Opportunities

One of the best ways that our industry partners can help support our students is offering internship opportunities. Paid or unpaid, internship experiences help prepare students to enter the workforce or graduate school, decide on their academic or career path, and engage in the biomedical industry.

Internships are an excellent resource for industry to attract new talent, build partnerships with the University, bring in new energy and ideas, expend less financial resources and have the capability to work on projects without using as much of their full-time staff.

Companies interested in setting up an internship opportunity will:

  1. Submit a job posting to CareerRAM and the School of Biomedical Engineering. The Career Center can assist you with posting the position, career fair information, and access to searchable resume databases. They can be reached at 970-491-5707.
  2. Upon selection of an intern, fill out the legal contract with CSU. You may receive the form from your intern, print it online at Contracts Manual (Chapter 4), or request for SBME to send you a form. Once completed, mail the form to us at 1376 Campus Delivery, Fort Collins, CO 80523.
  3. Work with the intern to establish an agreement including duration of experience, days and times worked, and scope of work.
  4. Although it is not required, SBME encourages you to complete evaluations at the mid-point and end of the experience.
