Engineering Academic Village
The Engineering Academic Village is a cutting-edge facility that will positively impact the recruitment and retention of students; improve academic outcomes; support larger college-wide planning objectives; and provide CSU engineering students with a unique learning environment.
The first phase of the Engineering Academic Village, a $45 million project that will house 245 engineering students and one faculty member, began in Summer 2005 with the demolition of Ellis Hall. The new facility, scheduled to open in fall 2007, will combine elements of green technology in the construction of its meeting rooms, multi-media classrooms, living space for students and faculty and a large dining center.
The Engineering Academic Village will offer students an integrated academic and co-curricular experience with valuable opportunities for greater faculty-student interaction.
