We offer a special thanks to Brett Anderson for his contributions to the RAM Lab.

introduction

The RAM Lab is part of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Colorado State University. The lab is used for the design and development of undergraduate and graduate robotic projects.

We are dedicated to enriching the engineering experience for students and striving for advanced robotic research.

The RAM Lab is located in the basement of CSU's Engineering Building. Click here for more info.

me 486 - senior design practicum

"Senior Design" is CSU's Mechanical Engineering Capstone class.

The purpose of the class is to give students the opportunity to manage, design, and integrate different aspects of a design project

These projects are very time and energy intensive and require a strong effort from our students.

Some projects also have competitions associated with them.

Student teams are given a small budget, but they are encouraged to seek additional funding gifts. For information on donating, contact Dr. Wade Troxell

Student Experience

Students participate in a wide variety of activities related to robotics including:

  • Mechanical Design
  • Carbon Fiber Fabrication
  • Mechanical Construction
  • Software Development
  • Electronics
  • Embedded Controllers
  • Firmware Development
