Message from the President

Thank you, and welcome to the Colorado State University chapter National Society of Black Engineers website. As you visit this site please feel free to discover and learn what NSBE has to offer to anyone that has goals to be a successful professional in any job field. I know when people hear the name National Society of Black Engineers they automatically assume that this organization is only for Afro Americans in the field of engineering; in fact this cannot be more farther from the truth. The true definition of an engineer is one that uses their professional skill to create something. This definition can apply to a large variety of professions.

NSBE not only wants to create successful professionals they want them to be culturally aware as well. It is important to know where we have been to know where we are going. This cultural awareness not only applies to Afro Americans, but as well as any minority and all of us a human race.

In retrospect, this has been a good year for NSBE CSU. We have increased our members from five members to thirteen, and we were able to attend the 2005 National Convention. Even thought we are not an official full chapter yet, we are getting closer to our goal. Every big step was preceded by many small steps. I really feel that by this time next year we will be 10 strong and will be able to be an official full chapter, and truly represent for Colorado State University.

I would like to thank all the people that helped me this year, and kept NSBE CSU afloat. I truly appreciate all my officers that stepped up to the plate this year; it takes courage to be a leader. Most of all I like to thank our advisor for believing in our chapter and providing all her support. I hope to see you all in the fall for another great year for NSBE CSU. And last but not least,

Who's house?..Six House!
