Graduates from the Mechanical Engineering Department have a broad and fundamental knowledge base required for the successful practice of mechanical engineering.

Colorado State University engineering graduates are well prepared for a professional career with a greater than 90% pass rate on the Fundamentals of Engineering professional exam. Currently the demand for mechanical engineers is high and entry level salaries are generous. Participation in internships, volunteer activities, or cooperative education opportunities is highly recommended to enhance practical training and development.
