Ryan Heimer, Luke Goldenstein and Lucas Weidner helped RuSPORT prepare the new Panoz DP-01's for 2007 ChampCar competition. At the end of the season RuSPORT decided to close. Ryan had been with RuSPORT from the Team's inception as an Atlantic team, Lucas joined at the start of the first year the team competed in the ChampCar World Series and Luke arrived shortly after.
As one door closes, others open and this was definitely the case for these CSU Alumni. Ryan leveraged his years of Pi experience in another R&D industry, Luke moved to Newman-Haas-Lanigan Racing with Justin Wilson (neither realizing that they would be racing IRL), and Lucas relocated to NASCAR with Joe Gibbs Racing.
