Middle school students, in a new program emphasizing Math and Science, toured the MERC. The students quizzed the MERC faculty and grad students on all aspects of the facility. While there was great interest in the Formula SAE racecars and the program's S22 development car, the Cache LaPoudre students also showed a lot of interest in the research projects. The machine shop and foundry were also favorites.
Teacher's Expend Great Effort to Help Students enjoy Math & Science. Many K-12 teacher's go to great lengths to give the best education possible to their students. The teacher's from Cache LaPoudre are no different. The MERC Tour was just one of the activities that these teacher's identified as ways to excite their students. The students toured other CSU Engineering labs throughout the year.
