Students involved with CSU Motorsport Engineering were able to obtain several internships during the 2006 season. These internships were quite varied, but all resulted in great experiences for the students.
Gelles Racing: Andy Listes and Rob Atkinson helped the Gelles Racing team during the 2006 Denver Gran Prix, and during the week leading up to the race. This one race internship ultimately led to full-time employment with Gelles Racing for Andy. This was the second year that Rob had held an internship with a race team. During the 2005 season he had been the CSU/Red Bull intern with RuSPORT in the Champ Car World Series, pictured below.
ProDrive: Levi Woods, pictured above, spent a month in fall 2006 at ProDrive in England. Levi is currently finishing his undergraduate degree and is a leader of the current CSU Formula SAE team, operating out of the the MERC. Levi is interested in Rally and has substantial composites experience.
Pratt & Miller: Karthik Krishnan interned during summer 2006, with Pratt & Miller, doing ADAMS/Motorsport simulations. He was chosen by the Team because of his work at CSU entitled: "Suspension Geometry Sensitivity Analysis using ADAMS/Motorsport". Karthik has accepted a position at Forsythe Racing as a vehicle dynamics analyst for 2007.
