Dr. McGilvray became a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering in August 2018.  Prior to this Dr. McGilvray was Research Faculty at CSU. 

Dr. McGilvray is the Associate Director of the Orthopaedic Bioengineering Research Laboratory and core faculty at the Translations Medicine Institute.  There he comprehensively exams the critically important relationship(s) between biomechanics and biology following disease, trauma, and surgical intervention utilizing clinically translatable models.  His research is aimed at moving regenerative medicine and orthopaedic technologies from the benchtop to the bedside.
