Featured Electrical and Computer Engineering Video: Tony Maciejewski on Robotics
Dr. Maciejewski's research focuses on robotics, specifically kinematically redundant manipulators. Dr. Maciejewski's work lies in the supervisory control of robots in order to achieve the maximum benefit of mechanical systems. Robotics is useful in factories for dexterous assembly such as spray painting, as well as in intelligence work, such as obstacle avoidance. Dr. Maciejewski's robotics research has been integral in using such systems for fault tolerance systems, in unstructured environments such as space, underwater, hazardous waste cleanup, as well as urban search and rescue operations.
