Featured Civil and Environmental Engineering Video: Chris Thornton on Hydraulics and Physical Modeling

Dr. Thornton's research focuses on physical models of hydraulic phenomenon. As director of the hydraulics laboratory, he takes hydraulic situations with complex flow characteristics, difficult to describe numerically, and builds them physically generating real-world flow characteristics. Students are able to integrate quickly into the work force after graduate studies, finding success with local consultants as well as with an array of federal agencies.
