Corporate Connections

"Technology transfer" usually means taking an idea from a laboratory, patenting the technology, and hopefully licensing the technology to a company. This one-way process is a product looking for a market, and (not surprisingly!) only two out of 100 patents recover their costs and find success in the marketplace.

Our model uses a dynamic interplay between market interplay and scientific discovery, and we welcome you to be a part of it!

Recent successes include:

  • DuPont and the Center for Contaminant Hydrology: DuPont donated a patent to CSU, which uses the patent revenue to support the development and commercialization of an innovative process to clean contaminated soils. The partnership is a win for students, faculty, and DuPont alike.
