The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience or IAESTE is focused on bringing international awareness and experience through international exchange, leadership training, global skill development, and technical education.
IAESTE United States started in 1950 at the Mass. Institute of Technology. Since then, it has grown to include 28 Local Committees, located at prestigous engineering universities across the U.S. Our mission is achieved by partnering with some of the best technical and scientific universities in the country, as well as by providing domestic and international conferences and leadership seminars for technical students and professional members.
IAESTE Colorado State University was founded in the summer of 2009 and serves as a student-run leadership organization within the College of Engineering. Involvement in the Local Chapter (LC) is a direct way for CSU students to gain greater cultural awareness through promoting and contributing to IAESTE international programs and hosting on-campus events.
IAESTE International Internship Placement Program
Specifically IAESTE CSU works with the university and local area employers to locate internships for international IAESTE participants. IAESTE LC members then receive reciprocal opportunities to work around the world. The LC is also instrumental in hosting and providing a social network for international IAESTE trainees.
The direct goal of our LC is to promote the benefits of international exchange and global leadership on the Colorado State campus through organized activities, events, and meetings.
International internship are available in industry, research institutes and universities, consulting firms, labs, and other work environments. Most placements are for 8-12 weeks during the summer, but fall and longer-term placements are also available.
