My name is Katie Jordan. I’m a fourth-year Chemical and Biological Engineering student and I am so proud to be President of EWB. I am passionate about using my engineering degree to change lives and make the world a better place and I believe EWB is the best way to do that. I love to learn and enjoy anything and everything outdoors, especially if snow is involved.

Hello all, my name is Jasmine Akers and I am a third-year student studying Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, golfing, spending time with my friends and family, and traveling. What I like about EWB is that I can apply the knowledge gained from class to real life. I am currently on the Pine Ridge, South Dakota project team and being surrounded by dedicated, driven people who are all working towards one goal is pretty amazing!

Public Outreach and Education CoordinatorImage may contain: 2 people, shoes and outdoor

Hello! I’m Lia Clark. I’m a third-year environmental engineering student concentrating on water resource engineering. I get Engineers Without Borders out into the Fort Collins community at various philanthropic events. I also traveled with EWBon the August 2017 trip to La Criba to work on the chlorination system on the water tank we have there. I absolutely love everything that EWB is about. The opportunity to actually get out into the world and serve, while simultaneously getting to do some real engineering, has been incredibly rewarding. Thank you to everyone who supports us and what we do. We couldn’t do it without you!

Engineering College Council (ECC) RepresentativeImage may contain: 1 person

Hi, I’m Chereen Zahner a Civil Engineering student. As ECC rep I attend meeting for the Engineering College Council to communicate our organization’s activities and promote funding.  My favorite part about EWB is the purpose that comes with the club and the fulfillment that comes with helping these countries in need. The community of people that I work with are incredible and I love being a part of the club. I also love the challenge of the projects and I like knowing that I am contributing to helping to make people’s lives better. I like to run, be outside, volunteer, and play the piano in my free time.

Hi everyone! My name is Kaitlyn Baker and I am a third-year studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Global Environmental Sustainability. Being the Tech Chair, I get to manage and update this website and social media. I love being a part of EWB because not only do I get to apply the engineering skills taught in class to real-world engineering projects, but I also get the opportunity to make a difference in this world through service. I work on the Pine Ridge, South Dakota project alongside other awesome, passionate students. In my free time (which is very limited as an engineering student!) I love to get outdoors by going on hikes, exploring and rock climbing, as well as spending time with friends and family over delicious food!

Grant Writing ChairImage may contain: 1 person, smiling, mountain, sky, cloud, outdoor and nature

My name is Andrew Licalsi and I’m a third year Civil Engineering student from Dallas, Texas. I work to find and write proposals to receive grants for our various projects in addition to being an active participant in this organization. I love that EWB uses the resources we have to create positive change in communities near and far. I think it’s amazing that we can come together and make an impact. When I’m not working on EWB or engineering homework, I enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, reading, and painting.

PMEL LeadImage may contain: 1 person

Hello, my name is Jackie LaBelle and I am in my third year majoring in Environmental Engineering with a minor in Interdisciplinary Leadership. My favorite part about EWB is getting involved in the CSU community and interacting with my peers in order to further a cause greater than our own individual educations. I try to spend all my free time outside, hiking in the mountains, rock climbing, backpacking, running, and skiing. I also enjoy reading and coloring books.

Director of Fun

My name is Mitchell Bailey. I am a junior in Civil Engineering. I grew up in Japan and Germany almost all of my life, though I don’t know either language. As Director of Fun, I plan social activities to help create a sense of community in EWB. I love EWB because there are so many different ways to get involved beyond Engineering. In my free time I like to hike and fish, and snowboard when I have the money. I’m excited to be Director of Fun for this club and hope you guys are excited to have fun.

La Criba Project Lead

Hi, I am Peter Field! I have an AAS degree in Clean Energy Technology and am currently in my final year of Mechanical Engineering. Most of all I enjoy the sense of purpose of EWB.  Engineering is hard and very conceptual.  If I didn’t have a good sense of purpose or mission, I am not sure I would have made it this far.  But, most of all I just wanna help people live a better life in any way that I can.  What’s free time?   I also mountain bike, bike tour, hike, climb and ride my motorcycle to far off and remote places.

Pine Ridge Project Lead

Hello everyone! My name is Jordan Gartner and I am a senior in Civil Engineering.  My favorite part about being in EWB is getting the hands-on experience of designing a project that actually impacts a community in need.  I also enjoy traveling to the project site and to see the design become a reality.  This experience makes the process worthwhile. In my free time, I enjoy doing outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, climbing, and playing sports.  I also enjoy nerding out on documentaries and math equations.

St. Lucia Project Lead Image may contain: 1 person, smiling, eyeglasses and outdoor

Hi, my name is Olivia Hahn. I’m a third year (of five) majoring in Biomedical and Mechanical engineering. I love EWB because I’ve made so many friends through it and it’s a great organization that helps a lot of communities around the world. In my free time I like to hike, ski, paint, watch Netflix, and hang out with my friends and cat.
