2008 Officers and Position Descriptions
All executive board members are required to attend board meetings which are held after the general meetings.
President: Eric Golike
- Oversee EWB-CSU organization and maintain internal communication.
- Maintain communication with the organizations that are partnering with EWB (the national organization, speakers, etc).
- Should be familiar with all the projects and facilitate the cooperation between the different projects.
- Organize the officers meetings and have agendas prepared for all the meetings
- Assist in scheduling speakers & workshops for the year.
Vice President: Nick Echter
- Fill in for the president if he or she unable to attend a meeting.
- Assist in all the presidents activities
- Coordinate all general meetings (reserve rooms, post flyers, send out e-mails, post in fyi and collegian).
- Member of events committee.
- Coordinate public relations for EWB-CSU (i.e. articles in newspapers, presentations, etc).
Secretary: Erik Anderson
- Record and type up all meeting notes for the officer meetings within one week of meeting.
- Assist in communication (i.e. thank you letters for donations, purchase thank you gifts, assist fundraising chair with letters & marketing)
- Publicity (i.e. write descriptions for CE newsletter)
Treasurer: Meg Hollowed
- Manage the EWB-CSU account and all the funding that comes in (keep running tally of account).
- Assist in fundraising (i.e. maintain communication with Roxanne)
- Create budgets for overall group and help project leaders with team budgets
- Make payments
- Assist in the organization of all fundraising events held by EWB-CSU.
- Assist in fundraising (i.e. maintain communication with Shannon)
- Check if donations have been received once a month and write thank you letters.
- Member of fundraising committee
Technology Chair: Brad Reichel
- Design and maintain the EWB-CSU web site
- Manage technology – organize technology needed for events (ie: laptops, power, presentation), liaison with ENS
- Maintain email listserv
Membership/Recruitment Officer: Zachariah Seiden
- Recruiting/welcoming new members
- In charge of EWB booths (like student orgs fair)
- Managing relationships with other departments
- Collecting Membership fees
Project Manager:
- Manage Project
- Attendance to officer meetings required.
Events & Community Outreach Committee Chair: Christine Sednek
- Coordinate all general meetings (reserve rooms, post flyers, send out e-mails, post in fyi and collegian).
- Coordinate local volunteer activities
- Manage Display Cases (LSC and Eng. Building)
- Write thank you notes/gifts for guest speakers
- Coordinate all non-fundraising events (i.e. parties).
Fundraising Committee Chair:Chad Bohac
- Organize and oversee all fundraising activities
- Spearhead the grant writing for EWB-CSU
- Organize letter writing campaigns
- Develop new fundraising techniques
- Maintain communication with treasurer
Graduate Student Advisor: Mark Schlink
- Coordinate project travel & travel paperwork for all groups
- Maintain communication with international programs
- Manage development of EWB-CSU into CSU Global
- Assist in publicity, presentations, etc.
- Oversee each project and provide guidance when necessary.
- Provide quality control in external correspondence.
- Publish EWB-CSU newsletter each semester.
- Provide training for new officers
