Virus & Spam BlockingYes, we hate spam too. Here's what you can do about it. Academic Computing and Networking Services (ACNS), has set up an anti-spam program that covers many methods that spam may enter the University. Two of their methods, Automatic Gateway Blocklisting and Sender DNS Lookup, are automatic and catch many spam messages before you even see them. In addition, they have implemented a protection server called "Proofpoint". You can find more information on what this is and how to use it on the ACNS "Blocking Spam" web page. You can also filter SPAM through your email client if you use one. The best information on how to do this will be in the documentation of the email client you use. If none of this information covers your question or problem, please contact ENS. |
