Email Info
Everyone uses email. And everyone has problems with email. We have collected some of the most common questions, grouped into the following broad categories:
Checking Email
Engineering students, faculty, and staff can check their email in a number of ways, including:
- Using the College of Engineering WebMail. This new WebMail service is available for all Engineering faculty, staff and students. This can be used as a replacement for CSU's WebMail service.
- Using CSU Webmail. Webmail allows you to view your mail from anywhere in the world via a web interface. You can use it to view your email from any of your CSU accounts. (Webmail instructions) (Webmail web site)
- Using one of our supported mail clients, such as:
- Mozilla Thunderbird: download - setup instructions
- Eudora: download - setup instructions
- Or set up your own preferred mail client, such as Netscape, Pine (a Unix program that reads email), or almost any other program.
Common Email Requests
So you only want one email address. But CSU gives you one, the Engineering College gives you one, and you probably had one before college. You can forward email from one account to another and get rid of the confusion.
A common complaint is that you can't send email. Here's the solution to problems sending email.
