ECE Welcomes Two New Faculty Members
The ECE Department is excited to announce the addition of two new faculty members starting in the fall 2004 semester:

Dr. Mario Marconi joins the department as a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in physics from Buenos Aires University in Argentina and previously served as an Associate Professor for the Department of Physics at that institution. Dr. Marconi previously served as a visiting scientist at CSU, collaborating with ECE professor Dr. Jorge Rocca at various times throughout the past eight years. Dr. Marconi is a member of the Optical Society of America, the Institute of Physics, and the Argentinean Physical Society.

Dr. Steven C. Reising is a new associate
professor in the ECE department. Dr. Reising
received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical
engineering at Washington University in St.
Louis and 1991 and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering
from Stanford University. His research experience
includes work at the Naval Research Laboratory
in Washington, D.C. Dr. Reising's research interests
are in microwave remote sensing, radar and radiometer
systems, microwave circuits, and electromagnetics.
Prior to his arrival at CSU, he was a faculty
member in electrical and computer engineering
at the University of Massachusetts Amherst since
1998. Dr. Reising received the Office of Naval
Research Young Investigator Program Award in
2000, the Lilly Teaching Fellowship in 2001-02,
the NSF CAREER Award in 2003, and the Barbara
