Professor Sudeep Pasricha was featured on National Public Radio for his expertise in energy-efficient computing systems. InsideEnergy's Leigh Paterson sought Pasricha's perspective for a recent story about the nation's first wastewater-powered data center in Wyoming.
Pasricha, who collaborates with ECE Professors Tony Maciejewski and H.J. Siegel to create solutions to the problem of rising energy consumption in data centers, noted that industry attitudes are changing and more companies are concerned about environmental impact. The Colorado State professors are funded by a three-year grant from the National Science Foundation, as well as grants from Oak Ridge National Labs and the Department of Defense, to enable the next generation of green supercomputers.
