Novel applications of table top extreme ultraviolet lasers: implementation of a nanopatterning table top tool and new schemes for high resolution holographic imaging

Abstract: This preliminary exam will be based in the study of the potential of extreme ultraviolet table top lasers used as the illumination source for novel applications. The work will focus in two applications:
" The demonstration of a versatile table top nanopatterning tool based on interferometric lithography and its potential as a versatile method to fabricate nanostructures
" Ultra-high spatial resolution holographic imaging.
Both projects use distinctive characteristics of the unique EUV table top lasers, the high brightness, high coherence and short wavelength. It will be discussed the preliminary results obtained and the strategies to follow to explore the ultimate limit of the EUV lasers in these applications.
