Former Astronaut Joins CSU

(AP) FORT COLLINS, Colo. Colorado State University says Air Force Undersecretary Ronald M. Sega will join the school as a professor of systems engineering and vice president of the school's applied research foundation.

Sega is a former astronaut who flew two missions on the space shuttle.

He graduated from the Air Force Academy and earned graduate degrees from Ohio State and the University of Colorado.

At CSU, he will divide his time between the College of Engineering and the Colorado State University Research Foundation.

He has been at the Pentagon since 2001, first as director of defense research and engineering and later as an Air Force undersecretary developing energy strategy.
