Urban Search and Rescue Robot

2005-2006 USAR Good Samaritan Robot

Home

The Urban Search and Rescue Robot is being built to compete in the RoboCup Competition in Atlanta, GA in July 2007, and the world competition in the following months. The RoboCup is in place to promote the development of rugged robots to navigate partially collapsed buildings in search of potential victims. CSU’s Good Samaritan Platform has been in existence for a couple years, with improvements each year following the first. This year the improvements include: addition of robotic camera arm, improved structure, building of miniature version, additional sensing capabilities including mapping, and improved user interface. This website will focus on the responsibilities of the User Interface team, as this is the team I am on as the Electrical Engineer.
