Deployment of the first edition of this semester's website. We will post updated notes as we get them. Looking to get to the rifle range to test our detection algorithm/ability in a "real-life" situation. We're looking at sometime in the next couple weeks for that.

Met with professors to discuss current progress. Provided a working demo of the current transient detection algorithm. While not dialed in yet, we have a couple ideas already for improvement:

  • Put a zener diode on the output of the amplifier to prevent the amplified signal from ever going above 3v. Currently, strong forces can trigger a 9v pulse to the ADC port on our telosB mote causing it to reboot.
  • Try different kinds of coverings on the microphone to limit the influence of wind or air disruption around the microphone.
