Supporting Our Students Through Scholarships and Fellowships
Scholarships and fellowships honor the college's brightest students by recognizing and rewarding their hard
work, accomplishments, and potential. Scholarships also help us recruit and retain students, shape their lives during their time at CSU, empower them to enter the workforce, and encourage them to "give back" to our society in a variety of ways. Each scholarship account is unique because it is based on a donor's wishes. If you would like to discuss scholarship programs in the College of Engineering, please contact the Development Office.

Types of Scholarship Accounts
There are several types of scholarship accounts that can be established depending on the magnitude of donors' contributions and their desire for continuing the scholarship in perpetuity:
Expendable Scholarship Funds: A minimum of $1,000 is required to open a named annual scholarship account.
Endowed Scholarship/Fellowship Funds: A minimum contribution of $25,000 can establish a named scholarship; a minimum contribution of $50,000 can establish a named fellowship. All contributions are invested with the Colorado State University Foundation in perpetuity, with a portion of annual income awarded to the student(s) and a portion returned to the corpus to insure growth.
Pending Endowments: Some individuals wish to establish an endowed account, but to do so over a five-year period. All contributions and income are invested with the Colorado State University Foundation until the account reaches the minimum $25,000 true endowment level. A minimum of $5,000 is required to open a pending endowment account.
