Gifts in Kind
Gifts in kind ensure that engineering education at Colorado State remains cutting-edge. These gifts can be in the form of new or used equipment, materials, company products, or inventory. The Development Office staff will work with you to ascertain whether the item can be of use to the college and/or its departments and will help you with the paperwork involved.
Do you or your company have equipment, software, or other "gifts-in-kind" that could assist the College of Engineering with its research and teaching objectives? If so, please contact the Development Office to learn more about the ways in which your donation can help us meet our goals and at the same time provide possible federal and state income tax benefits for you or your company.
Gifts-in-kind ensure that engineering education at Colorado State remains cutting-edge. Gifts-in-kind can be in the form of new or used equipment, materials, company products, or inventory. Generally, the fair market value of a gift-in-kind is deductible, but federal regulations do not permit the College of Engineering or Colorado State University to provide appraisals or estimates of value. The Development Office staff will work with you to ascertain whether the item can be of use to the college and/or its departments and will help you with the paperwork involved. Donors should consult a tax expert for specific questions about charitable deductions for gifts-in-kind.
