Become Involved
The college and each of its departments sponsor activities with which you can become involved. We extend an open invitation to our alumni and friends to become a part of our mission by participating in these offerings.
Investing in the college through a gift is one of the most important ways you can become involved, and there is a wide range of opportunities for your support. By visiting our online giving page you can direct your gift to the program or area of your choice. If your travels bring you to the Fort Collins area, we encourage you to visit us and tour our facilities. In the meantime, please keep us updated with your latest contact information, professional updates, and other news.
Advisory Boards
Corporate partners help the college and its departments better prepare students for industry challenges. Advisory groups also offer alumni employees continued connections to their alma mater. There are a variety of advisory boards in which corporate partners and friends may participate. For more information, contact the Development Office.
Mentoring and Speaking Opportunities
- Retention programs help to retain top students to the study of engineering and to develop and graduate a competitive pool of future employees. Corporate representatives often serve as volunteer mentors for individual students and for student groups.
- Mentors help guide students through the rigors of an engineering curriculum, and they receive a rewarding, professionally enhancing experience in return.
- Working professionals host visit days for engineering students, speak in classes, volunteer as design project judges, and present awards for student groups.
