Kevin Lear
Dr. Lear's research focuses on optoelectronics and optical communication through the use of fiber optics. This same technology is concurrently being applied in the life sciences, in particular with the use of biosensors. Dr. Lear's research is focused on engineering devices to sense chemical concentrations or biological mixtures, or even the shapes of cells in order to distinguish normal from abnormal cells.
