Laurence Belfiore
Dr. Belfiore's research focuses on macromolecule metal complexes and the modification of the properties of these materials. Dr. Belfiore, in collaboration with the chemistry and mechanical engineering departments, is also working to use nano-composites in modifying and reinforcing polymers. Graduate students in this department have the opportunity to work with offshoots of mainstream chemical engineering, designing materials for practical applications based on their microscopic structure.
