Richard Gutkowski
Dr. Gutkowski's research focuses on structural engineering, primarily the mechanics of wood as a material. Dr. Gutkowski accomplishes his research through physical testing on a full-scale basis, utilizing models to predict behavior of physical systems. Students under Dr. Gutkowski are engaged in hands-on and analytical work, as well as computer modeling.
